Almond Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp International Collection Sweet Almond Oil
  • 5oz Ground almonds
  • 9oz Butter
  • 10oz Golden caster sugar
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 10oz Self-raising flour
  • 3oz Flaked almonds

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF

  2. Put the Almond Oil, sugar and butter in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy.

  3. Slowly add the eggs and a little of the flour.

  4. Mix the remaining flour and ground almonds.

  5. Spoon the mixture into a buttered baking tin and smooth the surface.

  6. Sprinkle with flaked almonds

  7. Bake in the centre of the oven for 1 hour 15 minutes.

  8. Serve drizzled with International Collection Sweet Almond Oil.
