Chewy Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 4oz International Collection Hazelnut Oil
  • 2oz (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 10oz sugar
  • 8oz flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 8oz chopped nuts

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350ºF.

  2. Grease an 8-inch square pan with additional International Collection Hazelnut Oil, line with waxed paper.

  3. Melt chocolate with International Collection Hazelnut Oil over a low heat stirring often to prevent scorching.

  4. When melted, set aside to cool.

  5. Beat eggs, vanilla and sugar together until well blended.

  6. Add chocolate mixture.

  7. Add flour and salt; mix well, and then stir in nuts.

  8. Spread batter evenly in pan.

  9. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes.

  10. Remove from oven and cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a rack and peel off paper.

  11. When cool, cut into 2 inch squares.
